Laser Printers and Photocopiers Affect your office environment and Your Health
Laser printers and photocopiers exhaust hot and dry air in concentrated air rays during operation. The air contains paper dust, toner dust, unpleasant odours, paper gasses (formaldehyde), high heat, chemical residuals and often, large concentrations of ozone.
Ozone is highly toxic even in small concentrations. But even if many new machines are marketed as ozone free, this doesn’t exempt them from the other health damaging effects.
Add to this that many people are allergic to these exhaust gasses and chemical residuals. The symptoms are often throat and eye irritations, skin rash as well as nausea and headache.
